an emergency meeting. according to minutes of meetings obtained by cnn, hundreds of thousands of dollars were allocated to upgrade the lines into the superdome. one person says it was done in december of 2012. what's the culprit? it could be a switch gear. entergy says one switch gear tripped due to an anomaly. power was rerouted to the superdome through an auxiliary line, but all the systems needed to be rebooted before it came on line and the game could resume. it's bringing the switch gear maker on site to determine if that was the cause. >> all parties involved, not only the owners of the equipment, the people that developed the equipment, we have all of them coming in. everybody's going to analyze their equipment. we have the real time data from entergy because that's done on a minute-to-minute basis. >> reporter: and we're told this afternoon that the power company, entergy, along with the superdome's management group, are planning to hire an i independent third party manager to analyze that. >> what about the accounts that suggest that beyonce's rehearsal tripped the power during the w

security, medicare. they're exempt. when you take a look at business, i heard on cnn the chairman of marriott international saying we're lowering our expectations, business won't travel as much. every family will be impacted. every family has already been impacted to some extent. as you pointed out, when businesses cut back, that impacts their suppliers, it impacts their workers and there is no doubt that the combination -- now, look, let's put the numbers in perspective. we took $110 billion in tax increases. this is $85 billion in tax cuts. right now we're focused on the immediate impact. u.s. economy is strong. it's been trying to grow for two years, despite what comes out of washington. and the real issue beyond this immediate impact is what happens to america so we don't get to be like greece, so that the kind of austerity that greece had to have, which really destroys the fabric of society, doesn't happen here? are we better dealing with it now? should everybody, the government and consumers at all levels take a bit of a cutback now to avoid that kind of draconian cuts they'

the footage as it was broadcast on iranian state media. he claims it was a drone iran downed in 2011. cnn cannot independently verify the authenticity of this video. we reached out to the pentagon for comment but have not heard back yet. nick robertson is following developments in london. is this the same drone that the united states said was returned to the united states? >> it looks like the same one. the iranians say it was flying 140 miles into their airspace off their northeastern corner, close to the border with afghanistan. the iranians are saying this aircraft was flying from the kandahar airfield base inside afghanistan, and some of the footage, and i looked at it, some of it could be kandahar air base but there's no guarantee this video came from the aircraft in question here. did they get this video from somewhere els? it's not clear. there's no way to verify at the moment what the iranians are saying. the spokesman that the iranians are putting forward says that the aircraft was sent to california several times in 2010 for repair and used for operations inside pakistan. >> tra

dead and mangled cars everywhere. cnn spoke with a spokesman of the las vegas police department. >> approximately 4:20 this morning two vehicles were northbound las vegas boulevard at flamingo when one of the vehicles described as a black range rover sport fired shots into a second vehicle, a maserati, striking the driver and the passenger of that vehicle. it caused it to go out of control, continues through the intersection, striking a cab which subsequently catches on fire and then striking four additional vehicles. as a result three of the -- three of those occupants of the vehicles were transported for injuries, and the cab driver and the passenger were trapped inside the vehicle. at this time we have three confirmed deceased, two of those being the cab driver and the passenger, and the driver of the maserati. one of the occupants in the maserati was wounded from the shots. right now, what we're asking is that anyone that has information regarding this black range rover sport to contact the las vegas metropolitan police department. it's described with large black rims and so
